Sam Galler

My career began in 2013 as a prosecutor for the Ministry of Social Development. I was tasked with prosecuting benefit fraud-related crimes during this period. In 2014 I made a move to the Public Defence Service, where I practiced exclusively in criminal defence law. I had found my calling. I remained there until September 2018, where I left and started my own criminal defence practice in Auckland and this is where you find me now.

 I am passionate about criminal defence and care about my clients and their futures. You can rest assured that I will work incredibly hard to secure an outcome that is best for you, your family and your future prospects. I have successfully defended allegations of dishonesty, violence, drug and sexual offending.

I am well respected amongst the profession and am known as a diligent and tenacious advocated. I regularly appear in the District and High Courts.  

I regularly engage medical, forensic and digital experts as well as work with experienced private investigators to ensure that I leave no stone unturned in advancing the best defence possible.

I represent clients both on a private basis as well as on Legal Aid.
